For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 AMP

In taking thoughts captive we need the Holy Spirit to help us. This is not about trying to memorize scriptures and quote them or thinking positive in line with God’s word. That not the how.

For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. [Isa. 40:13.]” 1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP

The Bible says we do hold the thoughts or we have the mind of Christ. These thoughts or the mind of Christ that we have . Does not work for us automatically without yielding to the Holy Spirit to allow Him renovate our mind.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 AMP

The Holy Spirit is the one that discipline us as we yield to Him so that we won’t wonder in the spirit of our mind. It’s in this process of discipline that the mind of Christ is imparted to us in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to have a disciplined mind even as I surrender all to you in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
