HANNAH PRAYED, and said, My heart exults and triumphs in the Lord; my horn (my strength) is lifted up in the Lord. My mouth is no longer silent, for it is opened wide over my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is none holy like the Lord, there is none besides You; there is no Rock like our God.” 1 Samuel 2:1-2 AMP

Hannah was childless. And in her time being barren and married people treat you with contempt. But Hannah did the unthinkable, she moved herself into prayer. But if we look at the prayer of Hannah carefully, she was only bragging and magnifying the bigness of her God. She praised and worshiped God. She made her issue nothing in God’s eyes by telling her adversaries how big God is and what God is capable of doing.

This is the purpose of praise and worship. It takes us out of our physical challenges and sets our spirit, soul and body on God Almighty who has the power and ability to make ugly situations beautiful and turn our mess into a message and a great testimony.

I WILL lift up my eyes to the hills [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]–From whence shall my help come? [Jer. 3:23.]” Psalms 121:1 AMP

When we praise and worship God we look up not down. For it’s from above (Heaven) where redemption comes.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I look up to God Almighty in praise and worship and do magnify His greatness in my life because from above comes my redemption in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
