So the Twelve [apostles] convened the multitude of the disciples and said, It is not seemly or desirable or right that we should have to give up or neglect [preaching] the Word of God in order to attend to serving at tables and superintending the distribution of food. But we will continue to devote ourselves steadfastly to prayer and the ministry of the Word.” Acts 6:2-4 AMP

The early church prioritized their ministry or office by praying and ministering of the word. It is our duty as children of God Almighty to always make time to pray or stand in the gap for people in this world. Prayer takes hold of the invisible and make it visible. Just as preaching is very important, prayer also is important.

First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth.” 1 Timothy 2-4 AMP

The world needs our prayers for peace and salvation to come to them in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help pray effectively for all in the world that they will all come to the saving knowledge of the truth in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
