Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, Why could we not drive it out? He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:19-21 AMP
Prayer and fasting is going to strengthen you and your faith in God. And will help you to stand against the every stubborn resistance that can cause you to doubt God. It also help to refreshing you from your hard labor of love in Christ Jesus.
He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. [II Cor. 12:9.] Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [Heb. 12:1-3.]” Isaiah 40:29-31 AMP
In order for us to be effective in our office prayer and fasting is very important.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word. Help me to make time in prayer and fasting as I magnify my office in Christ Jesus. Amen.
