Indeed, we hear that some among you are disorderly [that they are passing their lives in idleness, neglectful of duty], being busy with other people’s affairs instead of their own and doing no work.” 2 Thessalonians 3:11 AMP

When we become busy body then we are busy doing those things we are not supposed to be doing. For example: prying into people’s domestic affairs, causing problems, gossip, religious gossip, talkativeness or calling much and making bills for yourself. All these things are signs of idleness with our time and also tells us that we’re not busy doing what God Almighty requires from us.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.” 1 Peter 4:15 KJV

The opposite of magnifying our office is being a busy body or idle with our time. This is how many open the door to be used by the devil instead of being a blessing to this perishing world.

Slothfulness casts one into a deep sleep, and the idle person shall suffer hunger.” Proverbs 19:15 AMP

When we’re idle we become unprofitable in all things. It’s time for us to repent and change our attitude towards God and His great commission, knowing fully well there’s is just no time to loose on unproductive conversations or things that does not magnify Jesus Christ in anyway and also does not help us to magnify our office in Christ Jesus.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me not to be a busy body with my time in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
