For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 AMPC

In our relationship with God Almighty we don’t have to do anything to bring about the manifestation of the promises of God Almighty. We only have to be willing to obey the instruction God is giving us. We can’t talk of relationship with God without talking about obedience. For obedience follows relationship. Man’s will is a free moral agent to make its own decisions.

God Almighty will never step into our will without our permission. So though the promises of God are dependent on Him (God) to bring it to pass. We must be willing to receive it. For example someone can prepare a nice meal for us but it still our decision to eat it or not. It’s the same with receiving the promises of God in our lives.

It’s so easy to obey God when we magnify our relationship with Him above any other thing in our lives.

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; Isaiah 1:19 AMPC
