Presently, when a woman of Samaria came along to draw water, Jesus said to her, Give Me a drink-“John 4:7 AMPC

This lady came to the well because she was thirsty. If you notice she didn’t go looking for food, but she went looking for water. This reflects our relationship with God. So as water was at the well to quench the thirst of the lady’s body so is Jesus to our spirit if only we long after Jesus Christ.

Another truth is: she needed water, so got what she wanted to satisfy her thirst by coming to the place where she could find water.

One of the reason why we have many Christians going to church Monday to Sunday and they are still lukewarm is because, the bible did not say they that go to church or attend conferences they shall be filled or satisfied or their thirst will be quench. But this is what the bible says

Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa. 55:1, 2.]” Matthew 5:6 AMPC

This is how our relationship with God Almighty will satisfy us. Yes we must attend our church services or go to conferences, but we must be thirsty and hungry for God and really long to be with, despite our busy schedule. That’s how our relationship with God Almighty through Jesus Christ by the inward working of the Holy Spirit will really satisfy us.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Quench the thirst of my thirsty soul as I long after You in my relationship with You in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
