That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.” John 17:21-23 AMPC

Our unity with one another is based on our relationship with God. That’s our oneness with God Almighty through relationship. In other words our unity with one another is determined by our willingness to surrender to the will of God Almighty.

Even in the natural realm, you are only closer to people that you have common practices with, or you do the same things or have the same desires or share common goals.

Jesus Christ our Lord was one with the Father because He permit His will to be swallowed up by the Fathers will.

That’s why He said ” my will is to do the will of Him that sent me “. This could only happen to someone who has surrendered all. We can only experience this same oneness or unity as we practice the same. In the level which we are in our Christian walk, God is calling us all in the place of unity. But we must be willing to surrender our will to the will of God in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Without relationship with God Almighty, unity to one another in Christ is not possible.

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by your Spirit to surrender to Your will so that I can walk in unity with my fellow brethren in Christ in Jesus name. Amen
