But now, do not be distressed and disheartened or vexed and angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to preserve life. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt”. Genesis 45:5-8 AMP

God Almighty uses our affliction and trials and causes us to be intimate with Him.

I thought Joseph ought to be so angry with His brothers for the evil they did to him. But in the midst of the evil Joseph got to know who God is and how He operates.

And said “……God sent me ahead of you to preserve life”. It’s not always good when we are going through persecutions but God always turns the evil in persecution to cause us to know Him and to put our enemies to shame a confusion. Therefore bringing us to a place of power with Him and also turn that evil for our best good.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you”.  1 Peter 5:10 AMP

Our above text can only manifest as we become intimate with Him in suffering.
So today we should rejoice in whatever situation we are in. It will only help us to get be intimate with our God.

 Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Thank you for using my trials to cause me to learn and know who you are and what you are capable of doing in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
