That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Philippians 3:10 KJV

Every relationship have good and trying times. Most people wants to be intimate with God Almighty, but they shrink back in trying time.

Our intimacy with Jesus Christ is like marriage. When people married they’re not married just for benefits, but they’re married to be there for each other irrespective of the challenges. But in the midst of the trials in marriage the knowledge and wisdom gained in the process is what makes the whole journey of marriage wonderful. And also it helps both parties to know who they are and what they’re capable of managing.

It’s similar as we desire intimacy with Jesus Christ our Lord. Suffering for the sake of Christ brings us into knowing the person of Jesus Christ and enables us to partake in His wisdom, knowledge, strength, love, peace, power and all other attributes of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So Paul found out this great truth of power in Christ Jesus and desired to experience it also, not for what he will gain from it, but for love sake. For he, apostle Paul, was and still is a lover of God Almighty.

And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.” Romans 8:17 AMP

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to stay intimate with You even in suffering in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
