Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12 KJV

Paul the apostle saw Himself as a prisoner that have been arrested by the Lord. Now when a prisoner is arrested for doing something wrong. The only way in which the prisoner can enjoy his or her jail term is to follow the instructions to given to him or her by the police officer so that he or she will not get hurt.  Paul was saying I can only understand the reason for which Jesus Christ is begotten me is total obedience and absolute surrender.

Rebellion hinders intimacy. We all are united to God Almighty in Christ. We’re a chain together. Disobedience to God’s Word fights our union with God.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:13-16 KJV

It’s time to go after holiness and shun away worldly appetites which fights our union with Christ. For this is the only way whereby we can truly understand why we’re born again and arrested by our Lord Jesus Christ.
