NOW [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your
country, from your relatives and your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. [Heb. 11:8-10.] And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and
make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves]. [Gal. 3:8.] So Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.” Genesis‬ ‭12:1-4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

To see the blessings of God manifesting in and through our lives we must choose to be obedient to God’s word. It is very easy to read the above text and shout but we must understand that before God pronounced His blessings upon Abraham. Abraham had to obey verse one to separate himself or come out from the environment he was used to. He left his past behind and choose to embrace his future.

We can’t serve the world and God at the same time if we want to see God’s blessings working for us. We must make a choice between God and the world.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the
Lord.” Joshua‬ ‭24:15‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The choice is ours to make our decision and allow God’s word to speak for itself. God’s backing is on those who choose to surrender their lives wholly to His word.

We can’t manufacture the blessings . It is God’s duty to manifest the blessings through us as we heed to His word. We should all remember for Abraham our role model to walk in the blessing he choose for God
and the Bible said ” ….Abraham departed ”

It’s about time we walk away from anything hindering God’s blessings from manifesting or working in and through our lives.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. I choose this day by the power of the Holy Spirit to live my past behind and press into my future by holding to God’s promises for my life in
Jesus name. Amen
