And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man’s nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).” James 3:6 AMP
The cycle of man’s nature is governed by his tongue. So if our hold life cycle is influence by our speaking. The is about time we start to think twice before we speak. And choose to live our lives after the Spirit of God. So that our lives will be shapen by God Almighty through our tongue.
This implies our words shapens our future and that’s why as children of God we should learn to live a life after the Spirit so that we won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the only way the enemy gains access to our tongue is when we yield our tongue for him to use.
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. [John 3:18.] For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.” Romans 8:1-2 AMP
It’s time for us to allow the Holy Spirit take hold of our tongue. For we’re not in the flesh, but in the Spirit.
