Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT

Human perfection has robbed many from functioning in God’s grace. When Jesus died on the cross He saw how weak and helpless the world was and still is. God knows we are weak. That’s why He said: “… Let the weak say, I am strong (Joel 3:10).”

As long as we’re still trying to be perfect, based on human standards, to please men, prove our point, feeling ashamed of what men think of us or how they view us, we become far from the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace doesn’t mean human perfection. Grace is allowing God to perfect His work in our lives.

Today, start acknowledging your weaknesses and quit justifying yourself before men and God Almighty in Jesus Name. Surrender yourself to God. You will start experiencing God’s power (grace) at work in your life more than ever before.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Word. I have always thought you needed perfect people to work with. I just found out that’s not true. Help me to surrender all to You by Your Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen
