Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
Deuteronomy 1 & 2

-Food for thought day 94-

• Matthew 5:43-44
• Mark 11:25-26
• 2 Corinthians 10:3- 6
• Philippians 3:13-14

We all can forgive and choose to forget. When God says we should forgive, that does not mean He is not aware of the evil done to us, but He does not want evil to have dominion over us.

That is why the Word of God says: “You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy; [Lev. 19:18; Ps. 139:21, 22.] But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [Prov. 25:21, 22.]”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:43-44‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

When we do this, it’s a sign that we love ourselves and are willing to move forward. We don’t have to keep hurting ourselves by holding grudges.

Furthermore, before we can ever take hold of the future God has for us we must forget the past.

That’s why the Word also says: “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s impossible to receive from God with an unforgiving spirit.

We must learn to practice how to forget by constantly and deliberately discarding out of our lives anything that is not pointing us to the future that God has for us. It does not matter whether it’s our own fault or what people did to us; we must take every thought and imagination captive into obedience to the voice (the Word of God) of Christ.

“For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This is what apostle Paul practiced and that is why he said: “I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:13-14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

My confession for today is: ”I choose to move forward and I draw a line to my past in Jesus’ Name.”

It’s time to move forward!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
