Today we read:
Numbers 32-33

-Food for thought day 92-

• Luke 6:46-49
• 1 Corinthians 3:13-15

The foundation in which we build a thing determines how far we go in life.

“Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you? For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock. But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We build on Christ by being doers of the Word and not hearers only. The reason for constantly practicing the Word of God is because we’re conformed to the image of Christ. In the days of adversity, the Christ in us will rise up and overthrow the wiles of Satan because we’re standing in Him.

Whether we like it or not, we all must go through some adversity as a test of what we’ve been building on.

“The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done. If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward. But if any person’s work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire. [Job 23:10.]”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ AMPC.

This is the main reason why we must build on Christ Jesus so that our labour will not be in vain.

Remember, in a race everyone runs, but only one wins the price. So run to win the price, that will not worn out, irrespective of the winds or storms that blow.

Let us all run to win and receive the imperishable or incorruptible crown.

Run to win!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!!
