Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
Numbers 22
Luke 6:12-49

-Food for thought day 85-

• James 1:2-4
• Hebrews 6:12

We often pray for patience, but the fruit of patience is born in the midst of trials or when we have to wait for something. Therefore, patience is only produced as we yield to the Holy Spirit.

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Most of the time we focus on the trials and waiting time, instead of focusing on the fruit the Holy Spirit is so willing to produce in us as we yield to Him.

We all need this fruit in combination with faith in God to inherit what God has installed for us and God also uses this fruit of the Spirit to build our character. So that we can appreciate the things we inherit from Him.

“In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.” Hebrews‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

People who often forfeit their miracles or hardly have a testimony of God’s goodness and mercy lack this great fruit of the Spirit.

Change your attitude towards your circumstances and focus on what God is producing in you instead of your problems.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
