Psalms 25:16-22

-Food for thought day 55-

• Exodus 17:8-13

We need each other to get to the place God has ordained for us. Sometimes many are deceived by thinking not to need anybody.
The secular job we do, indicates we need money for our employer needs us to get the job done, in order for him to pay our salaries. It’s the same in Christianity.

No matter how gifted someone is, that person also needs another gifted person to supply what they may be lacking in their faith or life. This is one of the reasons of the fivefold ministry.

“And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.”

When the children of Israel were engaged in battle against their enemies; Moses alone could not get the job done, he needed Hur and Aaron to lift up his hands in order for them to have the victory.

No one succeeds alone. God will always use someone to build a bridge for our next level. That’s why nobody can take credit for being successful. We must learn to remember the people God put on our pathway to ease our burden and help us get to our destination. All these people are included to our success.

There is no need to live in isolation or think we are self sufficient. Even God Almighty needed Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to fulfill His redemption plan for man.

We must break from our pride and begin to reach out for help to those whom God has assigned to be a bridge or build bridges for us to cross over to our next level.

Today we should start praying for our helpers to come and help us move to our next level, just as Hur and Aaron were to Moses.

Remember, the oil flows from the head and spreads to the other parts that are attached to the same body, so that all can benefit from the blessings of the ointment.

“BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body]. [Exod. 30:25, 30.] It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly].”

Let’s us kill our pride and humble ourselves to the helpers, God has put in our lives, and open ourselves up for Godly helpers to come our way in Jesus’ Name.

We may not always like our helpers or agree with them, but it’s our duty to recognize them and learn to cooperate with them.

We need each other!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
