-Food for thought day 47-

• Exodus 16:5-16
• Philippians 4:19

God can still meet all our needs without us necessarily working hard to make ends meet.
I know the Word of God says: “For while we were yet with you, we gave you this rule and charge: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.”
‭‭
I have good news for you; when the children of Israel left Egypt on their way to the promise land, God took care of them more than when they were fending for themselves as slaves in Egypt. God rained manna to sustain them.

However, we all must work as believers in Christ. The main reason for us working should not be that we want to take care of ourselves or our family; that should be the secondary option. Our primary motive for working is that we want to be a blessing to our community or someone at our workplace.

The world can only be blessed through us, because we’re God’s distribution centers of His blessings.

So having a job is the manifestation of the blessings of God in us, so that we can be a blessing in this world.

Remember, Abraham was blessed to be a blessing. We also carry the same commission.

Today let us go to our jobs with another attitude, knowing we are God’s distribution center of His blessings.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
