• 1 Peter 1:24-25
• 1 Peter 3:3-5
• Job 1:21

Have we ever sit to think that all the material things we are trying to acquire, will one day fade away?

The Word of God calls it “the glory of man”. If all these things we are building on will one day fade away, then we must learn to build on that which can’t be shaken and will not fade away.

On account of this, the Word of God says: “For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off, But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you.”

That is why we must build on what never dies, and that is our spirit and soul. The Word of God says: “Let not yours be the [merely] external adorning with [elaborate] interweaving and knotting of the hair, the wearing of jewelry, or changes of clothes; But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God. For it was thus that the pious women of old who hoped in God were [accustomed] to beautify themselves and were submissive to their husbands [adapting themselves to them as themselves secondary and dependent upon them].”

‭‭We must fashion our lives as the holy women of old whose focus was not on outward appearance (material possessions or how people view them), but their focus was in building on their inner man with God’s Word which never fades away.

Job found out that all the material things that we acquire will one day fade away and go back to dust. So he said: “naked came I into the world and naked will I go.”

God wants us to build (spirit and soul) with His Word and not the outside, because our body and other material things which is man’s possessions will one day fade away.

Job found out that there’s nothing in this life that we will take with us when we move to glory. The only thing that goes with us to Glory are the souls we won for Christ.

This does not mean acquisition of material possessions is wrong, but building our lives around it makes it wrong.

As a result of this we must choose to build on what does not fade away.

It’s time to build!!!!!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
