Today we read:
Jeremiah 19-20
James 1-3

If you love God, you will do what He asks you to do. You can’t say you love Him, but it is not seen in your deeds. We don’t practice lip service.

“Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

You cannot say that you love God without keeping His commandments. For love is seen in exercising The Word of God practically. Love doesn’t compromise with The Word of God.

“For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason, we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

If you want to see the promises of God being manifested in your life, you have to obey Him and keep His commandments. The promises don’t happen automatically, because they are found in Christ.

“IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.]”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Because God and The Word are one, you have to keep His commandments to obtain the promises of God. Therefore you cannot water down The Word of God.

Remember: Love doesn’t compromise.

Be not a talker of God’s Word, but a doer; for love is seen in practicing The Word of God if you don’t compromise with it.
