Today we read:
Isaiah 61-62
1 Timothy 3-6

Love believes in the truth, speaks the truth and does not spread lies or rumors. In other words, love does not gossip. The spirit behind gossip is witchcraft and its principal duty is to bring division and sow offence among the brethren (Luke 17:1-5).

That is why you are told in God’s Word which conversation to entertain and which ones to reject. The Word of God says: “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8-9‬ ‭MSG‬‬

You can’t open yourself up for garbage or things that will not build you up spiritually.

A great example is a gossip. If you say you love God, you can’t go about saying things about people that are not lovely or make the people unlovable.

Anyone that gossips is a hater of God and these are the people that never build together with Christ but scatter (Matthew 12:30).

Remember: love never gossips, for gossipers are haters of God.
