Forgiveness is not the absence of wrong done to us. It is the acceptance of the fact that evil or injustice has been done to us, but we refuse to allow it to rule over us.

Joseph’s family did him wrong, but he refused to allow what they did, to determine his actions towards them. He even refused to breathe life to it because he saw God’s Hand in using their evil schemes against his life to fulfill his dreams.

God always uses our challenges to produce something beautiful out of us. As a matter of fact, what we are today is a product of the challenges we’ve been through in our past.

It is easy to forgive when we focus on what Jesus did on our behalf while we were yet sinners.

When we don’t forgive, we imprison our destiny and also block the flow of God’s goodness and mercy towards us.

Forgiveness releases us to access those things that God has ordained for our lives.

I believe Joseph was in the place that God had for him because he chose to forgive.

There is a provision and place of influence God has for us all, but we must learn to let go of the mishaps of our past so that we can take hold of it.

Today is the time of restoration and total release. The simple key in experiencing it is this: forgive and also know that the battle is not ours but God’s.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
