Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
2 Chronicles 14-15

-Food for thought day 232-

• Luke 12:15
• Luke 15:4-7

The Word of God says: “And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man’s life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This implies that God doesn’t measure importance based on worldly standards; in the eyes of God, everybody is important. That is why He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to pay the price for all. Therefore, all that belief in what Jesus Christ has done on their behalf will experience salvation (Romans 3:22).

That is why even if you were the only person on this planet earth that needed salvation, Jesus would have still died on the cross for you.

A great example is the lost sheep in God’s Word: “What man of you, if he has a hundred sheep and should lose one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness (desert) and go after the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his [own] shoulders, rejoicing. And when he gets home, he summons together [his] friends and [his] neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep which was lost. Thus, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind, abhorring his errors and misdeeds, and determines to enter upon a better course of life) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:4-7‬ ‭AMPC.

This is how important people are to God. Jesus Christ left all He had in heaven and came here on earth for us. He went ahead and paid our debts, all because of the Love He has for us. He did this to restore our relationship with God.

We should not love people based on their status, but love them for who they are. For God’s Love never discriminates.

Remember: love sees importance potential in every human on earth.

Love always brings the best out of people. Don’t stop loving people, for people are God’s treasure, not things.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
