Most of the time people say: “love is a two-way street.” In other words, expect to receive love from the people you give love to. It’s always good to expect love from the people you love. However many have been disappointed because their expectations were not being met.

The reason is that they don’t understand it’s more blessed to give love than to receive it. That does not mean we should not receive love, but we do have to open ourselves up to the greater blessings of God.

“I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭20:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This means that the person who receives all the blessings is the giver and not the receiver. Therefore, when we demonstrate love to someone, we receive a blessing from God for practising God’s Love.

Remember: love always gives.

The blessings are in our giving.
