Bible Study Plan 2019:

Today we read:
Hosea 8-10

-Food for thought day 208-

• Matthew 9:36-38

Love always sympathizes with the less privileged. A less privileged person is someone who is poor and has fewer advantages.

This is the reason why Jesus spend His time ministering to the less privileged. He was mandated to minister to such people. And due to His compassion for the less privileged He drew them to Himself (Luke 4:18).

That is why the Word of God says: “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus had sympathy for the people and saw a need for help to the poor and the disadvantaged; this moved Him to the place of prayer. True prayer is one born out of compassion for others.

As believers in Christ, we are privileged and advanced in all things, because we have Christ in us. The Spirit of Christ in us is the spirit of compassion. God expects us to be moved in the same compassion of Christ and give a helping hand to the ones in need.

Let the spirit of compassion always move us to pray like Jesus and give a helping hand to those in need.

Remember: God’s Love is compassionate.

Be compassionate!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
