Bible Study Plan 2019
Today we read:
2 Samuel 11
-Food for thought day 162-
• 1 Corinthians 14:20
• 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
• Luke 23:34
True love easily forgives. God wants us to be like children when it comes to forgiveness.
“Brethren, do not be children [immature] in your thinking; continue to be babes in [matters of] evil, but in your minds be mature [men].”
1 Corinthians 14:20 AMPC
The matters of evil means, those things that are done to you which are unfair. Actually, you really want revenge if it’s up to you. But you are no more the person you used to be. So, you don’t live unto yourself, but you live by the Faith of Christ.
“For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died; And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.”
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 AMPC
This is the reason why we must learn to forgive easily. For it is no longer you that live, but Christ that lives in you.
As children of Jesus Christ, we must learn to act like our Father, whom in midst of pain and persecution, even to the point of death said: “And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them. [Ps. 22:18.]”
Luke 23:34 AMPC
Remember: true love easily forgives and refuses to keep accounts of the wrong done.
Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
Think and Act!!!!!
