-Food for thought day 139-

• Hebrews 13:2
• Matthew 25:35-36

The Word of God demands us to be hospitable. The spirit of hospitality shows kindness to people whom we don’t know. This is how you demonstrate God’s love to the less privileged and strangers.

“Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood–being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. [Gen. 18:1-8; 19:1-3.] Remember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:2-3‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s for this same purpose that Jesus said: “Then the King will say to those at His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God and appointed to eternal salvation], inherit (receive as your own) the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me. [Isa. 58:7.]”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:34-36‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

That is why you must never stop to be hospitable because not only is hospitality a ministry you have been called to fulfill, but it’s one of the ways we demonstrate God’s love to strangers.

Jesus Christ came to the world for love sake and to save us (strangers) from the bondage of corruption.

Remember, no pure act of love is ever wasted. Love is hospitable.

Fulfill your ministry of helps by being hospitable.

Many blessings in Jesus’ name.
