-Food for thought day 102-

• Romans 2:3-4
• 2 Peter 3:9

The only reason why we must learn to be long-suffering towards one another as believers in Christ and to those who don’t know Jesus is because love believes the best out of every situation.

The Word of God says: “Or are you [so blind as to] trifle with and presume upon and despise and underestimate the wealth of His kindness and forbearance and long-suffering patience? Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repent (to change your mind and inner man to accept God’s will)?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s because of the love of God that we did not perish. The Bible calls it His kindness and long-suffering. He endures long with our mess because He believes something good will come out of something ugly. That is why Jesus prayed the priestly prayer in John 17 and still lives to intercede for us daily.

“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

As long Jesus lives, we should never give up on people or ourselves, but we should know we serve a God who is able to turn impossible cases around and make it possible because of His love for His creation.

Remember, love suffereth long and is kind.

Refuse to give up on yourself, believe that God’s love will sort you out and allow God’s love, help you stand in the gap for others until you see the best of God coming out of their lives.

Don’t give up!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
