Today we read:
1 Timothy 4-6

Scripture of meditation:
• Joshua 1:8

There are prerequisites to be led by the Spirit. One of them is to present yourself as a living sacrifice and the second one is to renew your mind by God’s Word.

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”

God is the God of purpose; He does not speak to impress you, but there’s a reason why He talks to you. Without the renewal of your mind, you will never walk in the success God intended for you to walk in.

That is why God said to Joshua:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”

When you make God’s Word your meditation, His Spirit will help you walk in prosperity and cause you to succeed because you solely depend on His Word for your guide.

“BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. [Rom. 13:8-10; Gal. 3:1-29; II Tim. 3:16.] And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. [Jer. 17:7, 8.]”

Remember: walking in success is directly linked to being led by the Spirit of God.
