IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [Ps. 110:1.] And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1-3 AMPC

God Almighty wants us to worship and praise Him on the basis of our heavenly perspective in Christ. That is our now position in Christ. As long as we focus on our earthly challenges we will experience no peace or rest.

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16:33 AMPC

That is why we must learn to focus on our Heavenly perspective in Christ. That is to say what God Almighty has made us to be in Christ. A great example is He has made us righteous with His righteousness in Christ.

For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].” 2 Corinthians 5:21 AMPC

He wants us to worship, praise and thank Him for that. We must learn to fix our attention on Him and also learn to reflect on His marvelous work for us to effectively worship and praise Him.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I worship and praise you for all you good works in my life. Thank you for making me righteous with your righteousness in Jesus name. Amen.
