But He made no reply to him, not even to a single accusation, so that the governor marveled greatly. Now at the Feast [of the Passover] the governor was in the habit of setting free for the people any one prisoner whom they chose. And at that time they had a notorious prisoner whose name was Barabbas. So when they had assembled for this purpose, Pilate said to them, Whom do you want me to set free for you, Barabbas, or Jesus Who is called Christ?” Matthew 27:14‭-‬17 AMPC
We see from the above text that Jesus become a substitution for the release of Barabas.
And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.” 1 John 2:2 AMPC
The blood of Jesus Christ has already release the man in the world for all their sins. All what they have to do is to accept it.
Barabbas was a sinner released because of Christ. That is the reason why the Lord is commission us all to preach the gospel compelling all to be reconciled to God because the price for their released from bondage has already been paid. Jesus Christ paid the price for Barabbas in His sinful state so that He may go free. That’s is divine exchange.
But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.” Romans 5:8 AMPC

That is why God is not willing that any should perish but all should come to repentance. It’s our duty to extend God’s love to the sinners by telling them what Jesus is already done on the behalf.
Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to Spread the good news in Jesus name. Amen
