Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death–that is, the devil– And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout

the whole course of their lives.” Hebrews 2:14-15 AMPC

We were saved by the Faith of Christ not our own faith. Therefore is of no use trying to defeat the devil in our own faith. That’s is the reason why many suffer defeat.

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;” Ephesians 2:8 AMPC

We cannot walk in victory when we have not embrace the fact that the devil is already defeated and secondly Jesus defeated him on our behalf. Therefore our faith should stand in what Jesus has done for us as our substitute not on our ability to win. Because the battle is already won on our behalf. We are here to superimpose the victory we have in Christ against the wiles of satan.

Our adversary is dethroned. (1Corinthians 2:6. Moffat translation of the bible) We should always face him knowing he is dethrone and we are enthrone together with Christ seated at the position of victory. (Ephesians 2:6 )

Take your place and resist satan on the basis of your Heavenly perspective in Jesus name.
