For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29 AMP
This molding process is not something we can achieve by our ability. It’s the work in process of the Holy Spirit within us as we fellowship with Him. He is the one that conforms us to the image of Jesus Christ. This conformation process of our lives is the inward working of the Holy Spirit in us which manifest outwardly.
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP
The last part of our text says “. ..from this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
Most of the time we want to reflect Jesus Christ to the man in the world. That’s unbelievers. We get frustrated because we’re trying to portray something that can only be achieved through fellowship with The Holy Spirit.
Do we want to reflect Jesus Christ? The God Almighty is calling us into fellowship and dedication in Jesus Christ mighty name.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Let your molding ability in me molds me into the image of Jesus Christ as I yield to the Holy Spirit in fellowship in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
