That ye be not slothfuhl, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12 KJV

The reason for patience in our walk with God Almighty is to destroy the works of the flesh in our life. Nobody can walk with God when your carnal nature rules over your spirit. For pure faith of God to obtain the victory, we must learn to put our flesh under check.

Patience is very important, because lack of patience has caused many to do things prematurely or walk away from their blessings. A great example is Esau who sold his birthright because of his impatience to control his appetite for food. He settled for less because of impatience. Let us not be like Esau. (Read Genesis 25:29-34).

 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 KJV.

Our walk with God is by faith and our race in this life is that of patience. The Bible says: “he that believeth shall not make haste.” Pure faith of God is never in a hurry. God said: “I will hasten My Word to perform.” He (God) did not say you should hasten His Word to perform. He is the One that brings about the manifestation of His Word in our life.

Today, exercise patience and the promises of God will be realised in your life.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, Thank you for Your Word. Help me by Your spirit to wait on You. I hold fast to Your promises spoken in my life. I refuse to let my carnal nature push me out of my blessing in Jesus Name, Amen.
