Most of the time we think when we study God’s Word we are doing God Almighty a favor. But the truth of the matter is: whenever we study God’s Word we discover who we are and what substance we are made up of.
The Bible clearly makes us to understand that we are born again by God’s Word, which is incorruptible. So the only way to know your true identity is not from your nice ideas, feelings, friends, earthly family, story books, TV or newspapers. You can only discover your true identity when you study God’s Word.
That’s why Jesus said: The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life. So the Word of God is our life source, way of life, it sustains us, keeps us going and is our true identity.
It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63 AMP
