Be angry [or stand in awe] and sin not; commune with your own hearts upon your beds and be silent (sorry for the things you say in your hearts). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! [Eph. 4:26.]” Psalm 4:4 AMP

God Almighty wants us to ask questions why we hold on to our hurting conditions. He wants us to think about it before letting our hurt destroy us. One of the questions we must learn to ask ourselves is how is it going to benefit us holding to our hurt? Is this going to move us forward in life or hold us back? Is it worth anything to us staying angry? Why should I choose staying angry instead of being joyful in the Lord.

That’s why the bible says

When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].” Ephesians 4:26-27 AMP

It’s time for us to be realistic in what we choose to hold on to in life. If we hold fast to God’s word we will receive the future God Almighty has destined for us irrespective of the hurt that has happened to us. He knows how to replace our past with a bright and beautiful future.

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11 AMP

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I bind the spirit of anger and loose love and also choose to enter into the future God Almighty has for me in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
