Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my [sad] countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:5 AMP

We can’t no more allow the spirit of depression keep causing us to stay in a hurting state. It’s time for us to rise up and identify the cause of our hurting conditions; that is the adversary. And also address the spirit for what it is.

Many children of God are blinded by this spirit and it also causes them to make poor judgements because they are hurting. Many are backsliding and are not willing to attend church gathering because they’re wounded of something that happened in the past maybe in church or in their lives in the past. So the adversary uses their hurting state to hinder them from advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ by causing them to dwell in the past or their circumstances.

Now the spirit of depression only rules those who allows it. We as children of God must always remember that is not what happened to you or what you did as a mistake or what someone did to you or your circumstances that’s is causing you depressed or to be in a hurting state but is how you react to the different circumstances that you find yourself in that is making you depressed.

The bible says “resist the devil in the faith ”

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset–rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9 AMP

It’s time to fight back and refuse to be in a passive state in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen

Fight back!

And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize–a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].” Matthew 11:12 AMP

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I release myself from the spirit of depression that has caused so much pain and hurt in my life. I bind and rebuke the spirit of depression in my entire being in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
