And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph! Is my father still alive? And his brothers could not reply, for they were distressingly disturbed and dismayed at [the startling realization that they were in] his presence. And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me, I pray you. And they did so. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt! But now, do not be distressed and disheartened or vexed and angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to preserve life.” Genesis 45:3-5 AMPC

Now we see Joseph who was mistreated by his brothers because they were jealous of him. Yet in all that he went through, he refused to be a victim, but he saw everything that he went through as the plan of God for his life. That does not mean God wanted him to suffer in order for Him (God) to fulfill His plan in Joseph’s life. But it means eventhough we may be experiencing the darkest moments of our lives we should always know and remember that God is in charge not the devil.

Joseph so much focused on the promise of God in life, knowing God Almighty who call him and anoint him will not fail him no matter what the enemy is trying to do in his life. And at the end he (Joseph) said:

As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day.” Genesis 50:20 AMPC

God Almighty uses the hurt which the enemy brought to our lives to bring us to our destination. So we should quit holding unto our pain and start thanking God Almighty for the lessons learned in our hurting state. For it is a school of disciplines to help us become what God has predestined and preordained for our lives in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I thank You for using my hurt to discipline me and also imparting Your knowledge and wisdom in my life in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
