Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” Genesis 1:26
When God said “Let Us create man in Our image”, He was not talking about our physical body, He was talking about our spirit which has a soul. God wanted to reproduce Himself and for this reason we are created.
The bible says “God is a spirit (John 4:24) so God created man like Himself. The image of God in man (all human beings) is the power of God called our will. This will gave us the capability to obey or disobey God independently. We have the ability to act, move and think. Moreover we have the ability to make our own choice. This is something God will never intervene in man’s life without man’s permission.
This will power is composed of man’s natural five senses of taste, touch, sight, hearing and smell. Every human being on earth is created by God with this five senses that enables them to choose.
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
God will never manipulate or control man to choose for Him without man willing to do so. If God was or is doing that then everybody will be saved in a second. So obeying God is a daily personal choice.
God will always give you the grace if you choose to obey Him. Grace is God’s ability to do what He called you to do.
as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance” I Peter 1:14
Depending on our willingness to cooperate with God’s plan for our life, there will be grace available. When you yield yourself to do God’s will, it will cause Him to give you grace to act in the direction of His purpose. So if today you choose to obey God as an obedient child then you will experience God’s grace.

Father in the name of Jesus,
I choose to obey You with my whole heart as an obedient child. I thank You for giving me the grace and ability to do what You require from me.
