And now [brethren], I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care]. And I command you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor]. It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God’s set-apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul).” Acts 20:32 AMP

Paul was talking to the people whom our Lord Jesus Christ used him to impact their lives. Apostle Paul was about to leave them and continue his assignment.

If you notice apostle Paul did not command them to nobody, but to God and His Word. He did not stop there, but he went further to say it is the Word that builds people and help them receive their inheritance in Jesus Christ our Lord. So without God and His Word, any other thing you build on will collapse. When you allow God’s Word to build you up, you will stand the test of times in this life.

So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell–and great and complete was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:24-27 AMP

Learn to allow God’s Word to build you up by practicing what it says in Jesus Christ mighty name.
