Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried and chosen you in the furnace of affliction”. Isaiah 48:10 AMP

The word refine means to remove all unwanted elements that will try hinder God’s plan and purpose for our lives. For example gold is only Gold because it was first of all polished. We as children of God can’t Polish ourselves for ministry without allowing the polisher (God) to do the polishing for us. That’s why sometimes He uses persecution to polish us or prepare us for ministry .

For it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory, should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering”.
Hebrews 2:10 AMP

Jesus Christ our Lord was perfected through persecution in order to be qualified to be our High Priest to minister to God on our behalf.

So persecution prepares us for ministry.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Thank You for using persecution to prepare me for the ministry which you have called me to fulfill in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
