And Jesus stopped and said, Call him. And they called the blind man, telling him, Take courage! Get up! He is calling you. And throwing off his outer garment, he leaped up and came to Jesus.” Mark 10:49-50 AMPC

We can clearly see from our text that thou this man was blind yet He responded to the Lord’s call. He refuse to give up base on his circumstances. The bible says ” he casted out his garment which he uses to identify with his present condition to receive what the Lord has for him. One of the reason why many people don’t experience a turn around in their lives is because they are holding on to their problems and has put their problems before them as a frontlet more than what God’s word says. They have cast away their confidence in God’s word because of their circumstances.

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.” Hebrews 10:35-36 AMPC

God Almighty wants us to act like blind Bartemeus and throw off the weight that’s holding us back so that we can receive what God has for us.

With God nothing is impossible. Believe only.

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit not to cast off my confidence in Your word but to cast off my circumstances that I may receive the promises in Your word in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
