AFTER THIS, the Moabites, the Ammonites, and with them the Meunites came against Jehoshaphat to battle. It was told Jehoshaphat, A great multitude has come against you from beyond the [Dead] Sea, from Edom; and behold they are in Hazazon-tamar, which is En-gedi. Then Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself [determinedly, as his vital need] to seek the Lord; he proclaimed a fast in all Judah. And Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord [yearning for Him with all their desire].” 2 Chronicles 20:1-4 AMPC

God Almighty is always looking for a heart that goes after his word, prayer and fasting in all things. Such a one will always know what to do in trying times.

King Jehoshaphat sought the Lord in trying times and God turn his situation around. God is looking an opportunity to manifest His glory through our lives if only we turn our hearts towards Him and seek His favour.

At the end God fought for Jehoshaphat and granted him his request.

You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping Him. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were [self-] slaughtered;” 2 Chronicles 20:17-18, 22 AMPC

This is no time to cry or to be distressed. We should Seek God in His word concerning His promises for our lives in combination with prayer and fasting and God in His sovereignty is always willing to turn our situation around.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit and turn my circumstances around as I seek You in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
