My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the
trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:2-4 KJV
Every trials we go through in life works for our benefit. God does not want us to only focus on the trials. We must train our mind or educate our mind and set it on the benefit that comes out of it. This trials
also gives an experience to stand in faith and always believe God for a turn around in our lives when the enemy shows up again. That is why the psalmist said:
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.” Psalms 103:2-6 KJV
The only reason why the psalmist said forget not his benefits. It means he was going through trying times but he keeps reminding his soul what God did for him before. And if God did it in the past He will do it in the present and the future. So the psalmist was speaking to his mind to bless the Lord and forget not His providence.
Also, it is with this trials that God uses to strengthen, settle and establish us in His plan and purpose.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” 1 Peter 5:10 KJV
May God Almighty strengthen, settle, make you perfect and establish you in every trials you are going through in Jesus name.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. Thank You for using my trials to strengthen, settle, make me perfect and establish me in Christ in Jesus name. Amen
