And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” Galatians 6:9 AMPC
There is no blessing for a starters but there is a reward for a finisher. The objective of Satan in attacking us is to get us weary or faint in our mind so that we will not partake of the harvest of all the seeds we have sown in prayer and giving to support the gospel of Christ and sowing of the Word of God in the hearts of men. He (Satan) wants us to be weary in continuing to do works of righteousness in
Christ so that he will hinder us from obtaining the price or reward. When we are weary or faint in the middle of a battle or in doing good is a sign of discouragement or relaxing of spirit strength or being in impatient. And this is all due to the fact our expectations are not being met in our time. The Bible says:
For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18 AMPC
The hope of the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) is gladness, but the expectation of the wicked (those who are out of harmony with God) comes to nothing.” Proverbs 10:28 AMPC
As long as we stay in the place of expectation and doing what God expects of us. He God will hasten his word to perform.
in order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.” Hebrews 6:12 AMPC
It’s time to press forward. You can’t allow the enemy to get you weary or faint.
There is a prescription for weariness or fainting in God’s word!
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. [II Cor. 12:9.] Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [Heb. 12:1-3.]” Isaiah 40:28-31 AMPC
Today if you have been feeling weary or fainting. Take somedays off from whatever you have been doing and wait upon the Lord. He wants to renew your strength. It’s better to wait upon the Lord than for you to loose or not inherit what God has promised for you in His Word.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. Help me by your Spirit not to get weary. Renew my strength even as I cease from own labour and choose to rest in you in Jesus name. Amen
