This was totally spontaneous, entirely their own idea, and caught us completely off guard. What explains it was that they had first given themselves unreservedly to God and to us. The other giving simply flowed out of the purposes of God working in their lives. That’s what prompted us to ask Titus to bring the relief offering to your attention, so that what was so well begun could be finished up. You do so well in so many things—you trust God, you’re articulate, you’re insightful, you’re passionate, you love us—now, do your best in this, too.”

It’s very easy to give and experience abundance when we know how to give ourselves unreservedly to God. Our gifts are only accepted when we are living a sacrificial life unto the Lord. This will birth the fear of God in us and thus causes us to give as an act of faith and worship towards God.

Though the church of Macedonia did not have, their way of living before God prompted them to give out of their lack and as a result of that, they experienced God superabundance in their lives.

Our giving is only accepted when we put God first by unreservedly giving our entire personality to Him as an offering.

This is the reason why Paul said by the Holy Spirit:

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”

It’s time to absolutely surrender to God!!!!

Our surrendering to God will cause us to give immeasurably because we allow the power of God in us to cause us to give as according to God’s will.

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!”

It’s time to Surrender!!!!!

Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. Help me by Your Spirit to always live a surrendered life unto You for Your glory in Jesus name. Amen
