For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8 AMP

One of the reasons why many are not content, or never experienced spiritual sufficiency, is the lack of prayer. When we pray in the Spirit the Holy Spirit, through our spirit, helps us to be content with what we have and who we are. The Bible also makes us to understand that this exercise benefits us in this life and that which is to come.

[And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6 AMP

So praying in the Spirit brings us to the place of spiritual sufficiency, which is of God. And it is a gain to us in this life and that which is to come.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I thank You for making me to be spiritually content even as I pray in the Spirit in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
