For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 AMP
Most of the time we quote this text and we get excited about it. But this text does not work automatically without submission and humility which enhance our intimacy with Jesus Christ our Lord.
So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 AMP
We can’t be resisting an enemy when we are not submitting to God and also when we’re not willing to humble ourselves and mortify the deeds of the flesh. It’s through the blood of Jesus Christ that we overcome and this only happen in intimacy through worship and total surrender to God Almighty.
And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].” Revelation 12:11 AMP
We’re overcomers in Christ Jesus. And this can only be a reality to us as we desire intimacy with God Almighty.
