Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
Revelation 15-17

-Food for thought day 342-

• John 6:37-38
•‭‭ Ephesians‬ ‭5:29-30
• 1 Corinthians 14:40

Love is courteous and considerate. Most of the time we dislike people because they are not like us in colour, gender, body language, character-wise, cultural background or nationality. It is our uniqueness that makes us compatible not our likeness.

It is our uniqueness that makes us look like the rainbow and look colorful.

A great example is looking at your own body parts, they do not look alike, but they are are all very useful. Their uniqueness in function makes them compatible with each other. All our body parts make up the beauty of
our body.

That is why the Word of God says:
But some will come to me those the Father has given me and I will never, never reject them. For I have come here from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to have my own way.
John 6:37-38 TLB

God will never cast out His own body, but He will cherish and nourish it daily. We are Christ’s Body and members in particular. It is foolish for God to hate His own.

“For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:29-30‬ ‭KJV

A great example may be our great toe. If the great toe is not doing well, we will do our best to get it healed or restored because, through the big toe our foot receive stability on the ground. So we don’t cast it out because we feel the pain, but we cherish and nourish it to function properly.

That is why we must not be like everybody but must learn to accept people for who they are and not for what we want them to be. Help them to function in the best possible way God has made them to function.

If we all look alike and do things the same way, how are we going to refresh each other or be a blessing to one another? We are a blessing to each other through our uniqueness.

That is why we must learn to love and handle each other decently and orderly. This is what the Word of God is talking about when it says: “let all things be done decently and orderly.”

“However, be sure that everything is done properly in a good and orderly way.”
1 Corinthians 14:40 TLB

Our decency will accept people for who they’re and handle them considerately (or orderly). Always learn to be courteous and considerate in dealing with people. That is the character of God’s love.

Remember: love must be conducted decently and orderly.

Be courteous and considerate!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
